November 2025
Dear Friends and Prayer Partners,
Another year has almost run its course – and it has been a year of trouble and uncertainty and fear for many in this world. Despite the uncertainties around us, for the believer, we can be filled with hope “Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope through the power of the Holy Spirit” (Romans 15:13).
We have hope because our sins have been forgiven; hope because we have One to help and guide us each day so that we need not rely on our own wisdom; hope because we have a sure and certain future in Heaven with the Lord Jesus Christ.
Indeed, as we see things deteriorating all around us, we can take courage from the Word of God, and be daily “Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ” (Titus 2:13). As we each keep busy in our particular sphere of service for Him, may that blessed hope be a reality in our lives, and an incentive to keep working for Him.
The mail situation at QMBC continues to be of some concern, as the number of lessons being returned from overseas is very irregular. However, the actual number of students from the prisons in Thailand and Hong Kong has remained fairly constant since the pandemic. We are thankful for this, and also for the evidence that God is faithfully working in the hearts of so many of the students in those countries. Sadly, our student numbers in Papua New Guinea continue to decline.
We were pleased to receive some lessons back from Solomon Island students again this year, the first we have received from that country in two years. Please continue to pray that there will be evidence of spiritual growth and maturity in those of our students who have received the Lord Jesus Christ as their Saviour.
For your interest, the following is a breakdown by country, of the number of students who returned their lessons during the twelve months to mid October 2025.

A total of 451 students from 12 countries, including Australia, returned their lessons. This is 85 less than the previous year. It is interesting to note that the number of countries to which we send lessons, has decreased from a peak of 32 countries in 2017 to just 12 in 2025.
Praise Points
- For faithful workers who give of their time and expertise, even though in indifferent health.
- For all of our prayer-partners
- For all those who regularly support the work financially.
Prayer Points
- For the many students in Papua New Guinea with whom we have not had any contact for a long time.
- For those students who are living in difficult situations, in poverty, and in prison.
- That we may be directed according to the Lord’s will, in any decisions that are made regarding the future of the work of QMBC.
Please take time to read the enclosed excerpts from some of our students’ letters and answers to assignments, which we are sure you will find interesting.
From students doing the basic lessons:
Stan, age 75, USA:
I was born again back in 1973, but my Christian life has been an up-and-down experience until I retired in 2016 and made a commitment to the Lord that I would spend time in His Word every day. Spending time daily in God’s Word truly is the secret to a close walk with Christ. It started as 30 minutes per day but has grown to an hour and a half or more. I have been learning so much from your Bible studies: Jesus is our All in All, He doesn’t just give us peace but gives us His peace, He gives us His love, He gives us His joy, etc. I’m so thankful that Jesus is coming again soon to take us home to be with Him forever and ever. May the Lord’s grace be upon you and your volunteers as you send out and grade Bible studies.
Kritsana, age 38, Hong Kong:
God tells us that He loves and respects every person. This means that God never values a person for the way he looks, or how much money he has. God already told us what is true and what is right, so I have to make right thoughts and right decisions.
Rasmina, age 30, Hong Kong:
Thank you so much for the lessons, I really like the Lesson 1 (Course C) it taught me a lot, taught me how to overcome Satan’s temptation, and encouraged me so much. It’s like it [was] made for me, the lesson touched me so much and opened my eyes once again. Thank you so much. Pray for me and my family, especially my father…and help me pray for him, I’m sure our prayers together are more powerful. Also pray for my case so that everything will be alright [and] God will control everything…so that I will be home soon with my family. I can’t wait to receive the next QMBC course.
Suradach, age 42, Thailand:
Thank you for your love, mercy, care, prayers and the Bible lesson sent to me. I received many blessings of God through you and this Bible lesson, and also [have] more understanding of the Word of God. I am following the Word of God every day.
Immanuel, age 40, Thailand:
I have learned this lesson, being glad so much because I know God better. I am Thai; I hope to declare the Christ in Laos when I have got free from this prison. There are friends [here] who want to learn this lesson, they are not Christian but want to learn English language. I see a chance for declaring Christ to them through introduction to learn this lesson. Most people here don’t know God. If they [learn about] God through these lessons, maybe some will repent and come back to God.
From students doing the Panorama of the Bible lessons:
Desh-Udom, age 58, Thailand:
Thank you so much for the message, I received it safely a few days ago. I have to apologise for the delay of my late reply, and that because I have got trouble that caused me to forget to do my last set of lessons. Yes, I must admit that I have been helped and blessed by doing the lessons from you. I am really thankful to God for His mercy and thank you so much to keep on sending me your lessons.
James, age 44, Thailand:
I must thank you for this advanced lesson. In fact, I love it…As we grow in life, we grow with more responsibilities. So, from milk to a solid food is not a new thing, but a thing of old and our rule of conduct – Heb 5:11-14.
